The movie begins with Santhu (Nagabhushan) begins narrating the story of his brother-in-law Ram to them. At this juncture camera shifts focus to a school where children are taking part in a mythological drama. Siddegowda, who strongly believes in male chauvinism, takes his son Ram out of the school auditorium. He advises his son to treat women as servants. Ram follows his father’s advice and treats his mother Supraja (Sudha Belawadi) as a servant rather than an affectionate mother.
Later, Santhu explains how Ram tried to maintain a safe distance from girls during his college days and how Shivani (Brinda Acharya) meets Ram in unavoidable circumstances. Both fall in love and Shivani tries her best to adapt herself with Ram. But Shivani is forced to announce a break up with Ram. Meanwhile, Supraja passes away. Ram comes to know that his mother wanted him to marry Muttu Lakshmi (Milana Nagaraj), a MBBS student. He ties the nuptial knot to Muttu Lakshmi. What happens to Ram and Muttu Lakshmi is what Kausalya Supraja Rama is all about.
Director Shashank deserves appreciation for handling the movie, which is filled with love, sentiment and emotion, with aplomb. Darling Krishna played the lead that has two shades. His dancing skills are good. Brinda Acharya looks cute and is very good in romantic scenes. Milana Nagaraj has played a different role (an addict of alcohol). Nagabhushan provides comedy while Rangayana Raghu, Achyuth Kumar, Sudha Belawadi provide good support. Music by Arjun Janya is good.
All in all, it is worth watching by all, especially those who want to know the value of a mother.
